Goal is to Send 90 Youth to World Youth Change Makers Program in India

OAKLAND, CALIF.Young people from around the globe are attending the World Youth Change Makers (WYCM) Program in India, a philanthropic initiative of co-founders of O&O Academy, Krishnaji and Preethaji, developed to affect the consciousness of young people and nurture their capacity to become heart-centered leaders.

“We power the young to be transformed leaders for a beautiful and harmonious world,” said Krishnaji, co-founder of the O&O Academy and One World Academy, philosophy and meditation schools in southern India. “We nurture a young, diverse, global community of leaders who could impact the web of life through their consciousness along with the success they create.”

In 2018, with funding from individual donors, Moyo facilitated the participation of 17 youth by providing scholarships to cover their tuition, accommodations, and transportation between campuses and village sites. Moyo’s goal for 2019 is to send 90 youth to experience WYCM.

“We are honored to have the opportunity to help with this initiative, but we can’t do it alone, we are asking for donations from the public,” said Gwendolyn Mitchell, President and Chief Executive Officer of Moyo Institute, Inc.

“Imagine what your life might be like today if you were told at age 15 or 16 years that you have the power within you to change the world,” Mitchell continued. “The World Youth Change Makers are learning how to achieve sustainable success.”

Youth who have participated in the World Youth Change Makers program report feeling more at ease, confident and capable of meeting day-to-day challenges.

“In the month since I returned from WYCM, school is easier, I am able to apply myself to tasks and assignments that felt difficult before,” said Thomas Rhodes, a 2018 participant. “These are massive shifts because my mind is in the right state.”

“I am more confident, and I know that I will be a success,” said 13-year-old Eli Bigelow.

These youth are experiencing a shift in consciousness that starts an inner revolution. O&O Academy specializes in helping students to experience a shift in from self-centric thinking to a state of interconnection.

“We do not teach strategies,” said Preethaji. “We help youth to experience connected consciousness, so they are not controlled by inner conflicts, fear, or unhappiness.”

“It is truly rewarding to play a small role in putting young people on the path to inner peace, transformation and success,” continued Mitchell. “After all, the future is in their hands.”
